Perspectives 2011 presented films that were banned or considered controversial. The programme highlight was the Singapore premiere of an uncut and fully-restored digital print version of Stanley Kubrick’s dystopian masterpiece, A Clockwork Orange (1971). Other films shown include The Blue Kite (1993), which was banned in China, and the Singapore premiere of the Berlin International Film Festival award winner, Caterpillar (2010).
